E-mail and Web Surveys
The internet provides a unique advantage in providing market research data. Potential respondents can come from several readily-available resources:
- Provided by your existing customer and prospect lists
- Obtained though a link from your website
- Drawn from our database of Speedback survey participants
- Purchased from a third-party data source
- Linked from a banner ad on a website with desired demographics
Web Surveys
Your company website is the best single source of identifying your customer needs. An ongoing website survey program can answer the significant questions facing any part of your business.
Of the Fortune 1000, 90% have a website, but only 2% of those currently use the medium to accumulate market data. This missed opportunity exists because it's a new process, which requires expertise in combing traditional research methods and interpretive techniques with the rapidly changing Internet platform.
Doing interactive surveys on the World Wide Web can be done by taking a standard, text-based survey and converting it to an on-line format. The client will establish a "link" on their home page that automatically sends the respondent to the Speedback server. The respondent then takes the survey, the data is accumulated and, upon completion, the respondent is sent back to the original point of departure.
The data can then be quickly tabulated and then either downloaded as a datafile or written into a full report of detailed findings, depending on the client's needs.
The survey can also be advertised on a third-party's website with desired demographics.
E-mail Surveys
E-mail surveys are an effective and inexpensive method to obtain data from a wide variety of respondents. Speedback will send out the E-mail survey, collect responses, analyze the data, rapidly communicate back and forth on an ongoing basis, and prepare a final report according to project specifications.
E-mail research is excellent for projects that require gathering input, synthesizing a consensus, and re-submitting the results for review. Our techniques allow us to post an e-mail and then read the returning data directly into a datafile, skipping the manual entry phase. This decreases costs and turn-around time to the delivery of findings, and avoids some data input error.
Speedback can also send out E-mail announcements that contain an automatic link to a Web-based survey. Recipients click the link and are connected to a Web survey located on our server. This is an excellent method for including pictures and text with the survey.
